Aal around Aalborg: concerts, Quigong, activities at Kunsten, North Kunst Fair, Earth Day, Latin American market and celebration, and lots more

Posted on Updated on

Three day weekend! And there is going to be spectacular weather on the first of those days. My suggestion for those with children – the new Ice Age exhibit at the zoo. It opens tomorrow. There is also a Latin American food market at Østre Anlæg during the afternoon. They surely picked a good day for that. 🙂 Most of what I found takes place either tomorrow or Sunday, with a couple of events that extend over multiple days. Otherwise, Saturday could be a good day for hanging out at home and lighting some candles.

Friday, 22 April (with some events extending over the weekend)

Every year nearly 4000 people in Denmark collapse of a heart attack in public. Only about 12% of those survive. The chance of surviving a heart attack decreases 10-12% every minute, if resuscitation with CPR and the use of an AED are not applied. Take this course to become a certified first aid provider. Arranged by Cross Cultural Community. Appears to be in English. Registration deadline tomorrow at 18:30. Not sure if you have to pay. Lasts from 9:00 to 17:00 and is the first of a two-part course, from what I can tell. Find out more here.

Bazar’O’Rama at Studenterhuset from 11:00 to 15:00. A room filled with used clothing, new clothing, children’s clothing, shoes, old treasures, subversive books and magazines, used CDs and vinyls. And all at student-friendly prices. We throw a little chilled music into the mix and voilà! What cures hangovers better than a good time on Sunday shopping? Evidently includes a vegetarian brunch this time, too. Find out more on FB.
