Several expat/international resident-related events coming up in Aalborg – starting tomorrow!

Posted on Updated on

The number of activities and events for expat/international residents in Aalborg is increasing, thanks to a concerted effort by staff from the kommune and, as always, the Aalborg Library system. Here are three in the next two weeks!

Free seminars about how to calculate and pay your yearly SKAT bill – TOMORROW, TUESAY, 14 APRIL – IT’S NOT TO LATE TO SIGN UP!

The Danish tax system can be difficult to navigate and hard to understand if you are new in Denmark (or even if you’re not so new! Or even if you’re Danish, as I’ve heard from more than one Dane!). As a result, International House Aalborg and SKAT are pleased to invite you to one of two identical tax seminars at Aalborg Main Library tomorrow, Tuesday, 14 April. You can choose either the 15:30 to 17:30 or the 18:30 to 20:30 seminar. Tina Madsen and Pia Lindeskov Jensen from SKAT will give a presentation of the Danish tax system with a particular focus on: tax returns, tax assessment notice, and the preliminary tax assessment. This will be followed by a hands-on workshop where you will have the possibility of getting assistance from a SKAT consultant from SKAT. The tax seminars are free of charge, but you will need to sign up as space is limited. Simply write an e-mail to rhar@aalborg.dk stating your name and which of the two seminars you would like to join (either the one from 15:30 or the one from 18:30). What to bring: a laptop/tablet, Nem-Id, and key card. For more information, contact Rikke Harboe at rhar@aalborg.dk or call 9931 1530.
